Retired as Chief of Staff to former New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio. Currently serves as Secretary to the LOCATE Board of Directors and in addition, serves on the  Board of The Smith Center for the Arts, the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester Advocacy Committee and the Finger Lakes Health Foundation Board. Joan previously served on the Ability Partners Foundation Board of Directors.
